To be honest, the thing that makes me decide to play it is the fact that the game have chibi art style.
Turn out it was decent enough, well.... good enough for a teaser or beta version.

I don't mind the waiting, it worth the wait. The fighting concept which is unlike what I expected, was more simple and fun. It get boring soon enough, but I can come by every time I want.

A lite simple game, but was too plain too soon, since its just like playing rock-paper-scissor.
Nice teaser though, looking forward for the real game!

Evil-Dog responds:

Yeah it gets boring, for the lack of online opponents, I'll be adding bots in the coming days and we also have plans to expand the game, adding blocking and a fury gauge for a fury move, longer fights, more characters, it will still be rock paper scissors but with a few additions and twists, should be fun if we get there :D Might be Beast's Fury Chibi 2 actually to make sure it's a good launch and not an update buried in time.

What really catch my attraction are the adorable kitty that instantly make me decide to play this game out of boredom :3

The game have interesting concept. As always, dream is strange and yet full with potential and mysteries. A dream of a cat is an original one, and I really like the game even with no plot whatsoever.

As I play the game, this one remind me of "Rule of Valley" game that was featured like few weeks ago, both have the same upgrade "will" concept. This game have its dreamy, empty and mysterious world, which is simple. However, as the game progress, the other world, White World and the Magma World (or maybe I should call Red World) is really different.

The White World is a peaceful, beautiful world. Its perfect with the morning bird's noises which make you relax there. While the Magma World are totally different with the rest. The world is danger, and as soon the music play, I really got hooked up by the epic music, which really contrast to the slow music of the first two world.

The variation of world, obstacle and music really make up this game. The secret are a nice extra objective, and all are not so easy to get, one even really hard.

The first secret are visible clearly, the second are rather concealed in a certain cliff area, which make it hard to get until you really search for the whole part of the basic world. The last one, are the hardest, and possibly no one could find it unless you twist your brain on the White World. \

One thing that really turn my attention, is the fact that the game have lack of plot, and most of the NPCs are nothing but a decoration for small talk. However, one NPC near the area of the final secret say something like, "I am sorry for his deceitful nature...hope you get what you're looking for soon!"

Who is that "he"? This one mystery really tingle my sense, like it could be a hint of an actual plot twist. Maybe the bed connect to the other dream, and "he" is the owner of the White World....well, its just my analysis though.

Anyway, good job on making this simple yet amusing kitty game! :3
P.S: would be good if I know the music used on the Magma World.

Raiyumi responds:

Bill Kiley did the music. I put some links to his stuff in the description. I don't think he has this music available yet, but you could always drop him a message.

First of all, I really like the idea, and overall story. The art is more than unique, simple, cute, yet fascinating.

The idea, plot twist of history and some interesting battles make this game more than awesome. Too bad, there is too many bugs and flaws here...

First of all, you would notice that the movement are bit slow on the beginning, you would adapt and its fine because there is speed upgrade anyway. The problem is, the lag are so heavy that it make everything move so slow.

The game will get slower and more less responsive the more you progress, and then became more clear if you die or restart the wave. This become annoying as you need to restart every now and then.

The upgrade seems fine, the only things that not, are the consumables. Potions are too expensive on the beginning, and their worth are so low if you're not yet bought any health upgrade. Potion heal the percentage of health, so it become more and more valuable the more you upgrade your health. Also, the bird food, is the effect temporary or not? For only one wave or until you die?

About health, I also don't like the way you upgrade health, and still respawned with 100 health, then some empty space that obviously you must fill with potions. Upgrade health is useless then if you never get any potions =_=

There need to be more enemy type. Other than that, there still many problem with the enemies. First of all, the damage between Thug and the others are WAY too imbalance. A bullet deal 1 damage and a punch deal 10 damage, not to mentioned that the thug have so many health. This is simply broken...

The hitbox also seems weird, you could hit enemy from few meter away before your attack even touch them, not like its a bad thing though. The bad one are, you could make combo, but usually, only one of them will hit the enemy anyway. This is the biggest problem that also make the boss battle too hard.

About boss.... its so hard, and its good. But we're not ready yet to face it, and we have no way to get more upgrade first. There is simply no way you could finish all the upgrade, and there also no way to replay the level to get more coins. Man....thats just fun breaking =_=

The story and everything is nice, and if only the game work fine without lag, its actually fast paced and very fun....sadly it isn't work like that. Good work anyway, I highly appreciate the game, yet I can't give any good score, so 4 star is all you get.

Chaz responds:

Hey, thanks for the review. Have never experienced lag myself...maybe update your Flash player?

Thugs do more damage because the strategy is you need to dash attack them to hit them and then get away fast. As for not being prepared with upgrades for the boss, this all depends on how wisely you spend the gold through the game. It helps to buy the Crazy Violin as this deals mad damage on the boss. A lot of people seem to think the only way to finish him is with standard attacks.

Thanks for playing and leaving the review!

An art gallery in game form? well yeah, thats work too.
Im from DeviantArt, so this kind of thing is fine for me :)

the only thing that could make this decent is: fill it with awesome art! more art!

BeminFire responds:

:-D

The moment I start the game I was like, "oh nice, it have an upgrade system, what next?"
then when the game really started and the epic awesome music kick in, I was like.....
"HOLY HEAVEN.....0____0"

the graphic is also nice, the gameplay work, and the upgrade are simple.
The character is rather cute and so appealing to the gamer, another plus point.
though, cuteness isn't always necessary, especially not for those enemies.
the music is too epic for god sake for such cute enemy, would be great if they would be more fantastic or epic too.

the game is addictive and solid.
though some people said it was rip-off, im not really sure yet, maybe you did it not with copying purpose, maybe you didn't even inspired by Bullet Heaven.

Well, I could only give 4 star with all such problem, like originality and such.
but the gameplay is definitely good, the graphic is even one of the best stencyl game I ever see (just like your other game), and the music is just OMG LET ME DOWNLOAD IT

nice work, keep working and good luck ^^

Frozennnn responds:

Thanks for the feedback really help

A fun and addictive game.... to bad with so many things that did not work together in the process.

The animation is funny and cute, the color and everything is nice, even the concept of the guns was awesome, and there is only one thing that get in the way.

Its nearly impossible to finish it.

No, not because the difficulty, but because the turrets did not work properly.

For example, the space that required to set turret between turret can change over time, which is just make it simply annoying and irritating. You need to have some space, but that space change depend on the turret headed, so when it attack to enemy, there is some chance to put some turret, but when there is no enemy (on break), you want to put turret there but you simply don't have enough space because the space between turret also count the small range that change depend on where the turret face.

Then the glue gun, which suppose to slow down enemy, but focus on one enemy that goes in first, and totally ignore another enemy that come until either the first enemy defeated or it goes through. This is more than a problem, this will make things did not goes through our strategy, doesn't matter how perfect it is.

About the stages, the first stage (Lush Planet) is probably the only stage that most people can clear, only that stage...the rest is simply ridiculous.

The third level (Volcanic Path) is way too hard, and nearly impossible. Because the space that you can use is simply too few, not to mentioned that this stage is the most problematic with that 'glue gun problem', it only focus on one enemy while the other one that come in one time was like LALALALA FULL SPEED VROOOOM

The fourth level (Bright Moon) is rather more stable and possible to be cleared, even with way too much difficulty too (just look at how many people that can clear the other stage that the Lush Planet)

The only stages that did not messed up with your sanity is Lush Planet and Bright Moon, because enemy will be hit again by the same turret after they goes through some of the route, which is the reason people able to beat the level. Other than that, it was simply impossible, especially the Puzzling Dessert.

If it was a real 'puzzle', then it was a Rubik Cube with 10 tiles on each side, downward impossible.

Other than that, this game is fun and challenging, excellent original art style with eye-candy color, nice and cool music, and was worth the time even if it was unbeatable.

If you fix the flaws, it would be a wonderful game, totally looking forward to the future where it will be better. Good luck!

JackAstral responds:

Thanks so much for the detailed review. :) I'll look into all your points and patch the game up a bit ASAP.

Welcome to the little page of some whatever being known as Crimson Scythe ^^ I play many types of game, but what I want most is to create my own game, which is my dream. I am an artist, a story writer, and a future game developer. Have a good day! :3
